Benefits of NutriHold on Container Grown Plants

NutriHold continues to uphold its reputation as a highly effective soil amendment and additive for container-based ornamental and perennial plants

How NutriHold fits into horticultural production programs for containerized plants

Containerized ornamental plants and perennials benefit from the incorporation of both NutriHold Dry as an additive to potting media and by applying NutriHold as an addition to the grower’s nutritional spray and soil drench program.

NutriHold Dry is added to the potting media at a rate of 2-4%. Tests have shown that as you increase the amount of NutriHold Dry, the Cation Exchange Capacity of the potting media increases.

Other Benefits of NutriHold Dry and liquid NutriHold for containerized ornamental plants include:

  • Healthier and more vigorous root systems
  • Increased water-holding capacity
  • Reducing the need for soil applied fungicides
  • Healthier and greener plants
  • Improved fertilizer use efficiency

The Humic Acid content of NutriHold Dry can improve the water and nutrient holding capacity of the soil and may help to increase nutrient uptake.

Standard incorporation rates of NutriHold dry range from 2-4% incorporated in potting media.

The Carbon content of NutriHold Dry feeds and supports the biological populations in the soil.
